This is so you can link Students with their Parents/Guardians. This can be done in two ways both ways require that the Contacts and Students accounts have been created in School Jotter (please see Adding Users on how to add users) .
Open the Admin app and select Users
AddIng a Contact
Find the Student who the contacts will be linked to, you can use the Filters to find the student.
Clicking Contacts from the options after the Student's name will display their current Contacts
Click Add Contact from the blue bar at the top of the screen. This will load the Add Contact screen.
Find the username of the contact in the Contact drop down box and enter their relationship to the student. in the Relationship box. When you click Add Contact this will return you to the Contacts screen and display a success message.
Adding Multiple Contacts
To add users open the Admin app and click on Users
Click Upload and select Upload Contacts this will load a new screen.
You can find a template CSV by clicking the Download Template File button.
Open the downloaded template CSV file, this file type will open in any spreadsheet editor. The template will look like this.
In the username field enter the Student's username, the username of the Parent/Guardian is entered in to contact_username . Relationship should also be filled in, for example Parent. Once all information has been added save the CSV.
On the Upload Contacts screen click Select your file this will load a file picker window. Navigate to your CSV file and click Open. This will be shown on the Upload Contacts screen next to the Submit button.
If there are any errors in the CSV an error will be displayed along with where the error is in the CSV.
If the CSV can be uploaded a Confirmation box will be displayed.
Clicking Confirm Upload will then link the users in the School Jotter system. You will be taken back to the User screen.
